>>> February 2007. Exodus-Crew starts its first expedition : a three-week snow and surf trip in Morocco. Eric Bochet, the skilled freeriders Ludo Strohl and Babs Charlet, the talented skirider Yan André Bullit but also Fabien Lamborot, in charge of the photoshoot are taking part to the expedition.
Travel begins in Marrakech before reaching Imlil, and then the shelter, which is at 3,200 meters altitude. Climbing the Djebel Toubkal is quite physically challenging, but it’s worth it. The highest summit of Moroccan Atlas at 4,167 meters offers an incredible view on the Marrakech Valley and the High Atlas chains.
After a 1,900 meters change of altitude downwards, leading them to Marabout and then Imlil, they reach Oukaimeden straightaway. The highest African ski resort at 3,270 meters altitude gives them the opportunity to ride 18 slopes for only 100 dirhams a day. Far enough to really have fun.
Trip ends in Imsouane to take one of the longest waves of Africa. Surf sessions till sunset for Babs and Ludo, while Taillon and Bullit enjoy the shore on their longboard. This place called happiness bay is definitely well named.
